Jazzy

Female
Jazzy is a young bunny that was found on the street in Salinas. No one claimed her at the Salinas County Animal shelter, so RRR brought her into our rescue program! She looks to be a pure-bred Dwarf Siamese Satin, and the tattoo on her ear implies she may have escaped from a breeder. While it is nearly impossible to determine a rabbit’s age by visual inspection, her behavior indicates she’s quite possibly very young—under a year old. She was spayed in October at the AFRP Clinic. Jazzy is spitfire in a tiny package--a VERY active, feisty bun. She abounds with energy and LOVES to hop, run, and binky like crazy! She is great entertainment for her foster family and their cats. She loves to play with boxes and cardboard, and enjoys tossing baby rattles. She adores—and even demands—her people to pet her soft nose and jaws, but is definitely not a lap bunny. Her energy and desire for freedom precludes her from enjoying being held, but given time and patience, she may very well be a lap bun when she’s older and less energetic. She is a very smart bunny and knows that the word “chip chip” means a treat of a banana chip, raisin, or apple slice, one of which she gets each night –and when we want her to return to us (however, she is a stinker and often hides or plays a game of “escape and evade” when it’s time to return to the cage, so we recommend an x-pen for play time!). She likes cats and thinks she is big enough to chase them! She hasn’t been around dogs yet, but would probably get along with a gentle soul. While she is a lively little firecracker, she does tend to startle easily and doesn’t like loud noises. She enjoys routine and even waits at her food bowl when it’s time for a salad or pellets. She would thrive best in a quiet home with adults only or older children who aren’t tempted to pick her up and scare her. She does love and beg for human attention and enjoys showing off her dancing skills when she’s out. If Jazzy sounds like she would fit in with your household, give us a call! She is waiting for a family to call her own!
