We received a plea for help: "Hi Lisa,
I am not from Monterey County but I visit the area often. I have a black n white rabbit. I found her and no one wanted her. I have two rescue dogs, a small backyard, and knew little about rabbits, so attempted to educate myself online. She is not spayed. Quite honestly, she is 4 years old and I didn't think a rabbit's life expectancy would go much further than 4 years, yet she is thriving, well mannered and healthy.
My problem is we are moving and I just found out that the home we are buying has a two pet minimum. I am not happy about this. I have not kept Ricochete in a cage, with exception at night to keep her safe from predators.
I really do care about Ricochete and she trusts me, so it is important that I find someone that is dedicated to her.
I feel heart broken...I have never abandoned an animal, (not one that I have taken in). She sits on my feet when I read outside, and I could swear that she almost knows how to fetch a stick (sort of), it's a game we play...I chase her, she chases me.
Do you have a space for her? Or....can you point me in a direction that can help?

She arrived 12/28/2016 into our program from Oakdale, CA. and will be spayed Jan. 5th 2017 at Avian Exotic clinic. She is BIG weighing in at 11 pounds. She would THRIVE in a garden safe yard during day & inside at night. Not afraid of Dogs & cats & kids!
